In the National Students’ Olympic IT Games 2005 (23/4 – 25/4), our HOU Olympic Team proudly gained delightful results: a second prize and an English award.
The team had been chosen and prepared for the competition in a serious and strict manner with the representation of three outstanding students from FIT:
1. Nguyễn Chiến Thắng - 01B5
2. Ứng Mạnh Giang - 02B5
3. Nguyễn Thái Sơn - 02B6
As a result, Nguyen Thai Son did a good job when he by far surpassed many other students to win one of the three second prizes for specialized bloc in such a competition of 659 competitors in 72 teams from various universities all over the country. Besides, Nguyen Chien Thang received an award in the English test – an important part of every Olympic IT Game. Also, our three representatives, together with other students, took part in the team competition named “Leu chong”.
According to the team leader, Dinh Tuan Long – FIT lecturer, the Olympic IT Game was closed by an excellent prize, a first prize, three second ones, many third ones and other awards. The achievement of HOU team this year marked its return to high positions in the specialized bloc in the Game since 1998.
Thanks to the endeavour and talents of the whole team, as well as the guidance and care from the team supervisor, Dinh Tuan Long, in particular, and management board of FIT and HOU in general, the fine reputation of FIT – HOU students has been reclaimed in such a fair game with the participation of teams from many sound IT education centers throughout the nation. Warm congratulations to HOU Olympic IT Team!
