In 1999, due to the pressing need for the management and technology renovation in the Industry, The Ministry of Industry, by an official letter, has proposed to the Ministry of Education & Training (MOET) and to HOU to study a project aiming to establish a training system in co-operating with the Vietnam-Hungaria Industrial College (VHIC) for training IT specialists in order to cope with the current big demand of the province of Ha Tay and of the Western region as well.
With the permission of MOET, FIT was assigned by HOU to conduct this project since late 1999 - early 2000.
The 2 sides , FIT-HOU and VHIC were agree to open an in-service IT technician training course loacated in the main campus of VHIC at the SonTay City. VHIC had to provide all facilities and equipment for the course while FITHOU took care of the training programms and materials, of appointing teachers and tutors.
After some times for first preparation, on October/2000 FITHOU were organizing the national entrance examination for the first IT class at VHIC with the participation of more than 160 candidates, most of them are officials, staff members and technicians from different industrial organizations in the western region as well as a number of students of VHIC graduated some years earlier and now working in the industries of the region.
Among 160 candidates, 55 were received to attend the IT class 2000-2000 and after 4 school years, 30 of them having fulfilled the training curriculum , successfully passed the final examination and become the first IT engineers trained and graduated in the province of HaTay: it was a memorable event in Education and Training of the region.
Overcoming step by step all difficulties, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and the efforts of both FITHOU and VHIC, in the following years, the in-service IT training programme of FITHOU at VHIC were running regularly since 2000 :
- In 2001 : New students : 45, graduated in 2005 : 30
- 2002 : New students : 54, their final examination will be held on late this year 2006.
- 2003 : New students : 58
- 2004 : New students : 50
- 2005 : New students : 52
Most of the 65 graduated students from the 2 first classes of 2000-2004 and 2001-2005, right after their graduation , have got good job and were very appreciated by their employers : it was a positive evaluation for the training quality of the project.
Since 2000, the IT classes in VHIC were becoming a kind of local filial of FITHOU in HaTay. The students maintained a very close relationship with the main campus of FITHOU in Hanoi through teachers, managers of FIT in charge of the classes and espescially in the last few years, through the website of the faculty at :

Delegates from VHIC IT classes regularly were coming to participate to all principal activities at the main campus of FIT in Hanoi : The Opening and Closing ceremony of every school years, graduation ceremonies and espescially the 5th and 10th Anniversry Celebration Ceremonies of FITHOU.
The long term co-operation in training between FITHOU and VHIC has brought precious experiences in realizing the directives of socialization of Education and Training to cope with the urgent demand of well trained and skilled man power in this present time in Vietnam
